To Bikini or Brazilian? That is the Question

Listen, everyone has hair down there and you’re not the only one who wants to get rid of it (or totally embrace it!). Regular remedies for pubic hair removal include shaving, trimming, and epilating. But these practices can often lead to cuts, razor burn, ingrown hairs, and even infection (not to mention that hair re-growth itchiness!).

Enter your new BFF, the Brazilian…

Bikini vs. Brazilian

A bikini wax typically only removes what hair shows while wearing a bikini. This includes all around the pantyline and, for some people, down the inside of the thighs.

A Brazilian wax removes hair from the entire public region. With a traditional Brazilian wax, the goal is to be totally bare. But the wax can be very customizable based on personal preference.

What are the benefits of waxing vs. shaving?

When you shave, you are only removing the hair at the very surface of your skin, which results in hair regrowth that is thicker and coarser.

When you wax, you are completely removing the hair from the follicle underneath the skin. And consistent waxing, over time, will allow the hair to grow back thinner and less dense. Most people who have been getting Brazilian services for months and years develop less and less hair growth with every wax (BONUS!).

Does it hurt?

Your very first ever Brazilian wax may not feel the best, but the results are totally worth it. An experienced esthetician will make sure to make every step of the way completely comfortable and easy for you.

After the initial wax, it will keep getting easier, as the hairs will start to grow in the same growth pattern and continue to get thinner, resulting in less pain each time.

How to prep for your appointment

For your very first Brazilian wax with us, please shave or trim approximately 2 weeks before your appointment. This will ensure that the hair is not too long so the wax can properly grip and remove the hair, leading to a smoother process overall.
